Latvian Association for People Management (LAPM)
is an Latvian organization, which connects human resource professionals. LAPM was established in 1996. The centre of LAPM is situated in Riga. Since 2001 LAPM is the member of the European Association of People Management (EAPM).

Mission of LAPM
is to unify human resources management professionals  with aim to improve the efficiency of organisations and create  human-driven environment in Latvia by developing competence in human resources management field and promoting a strategic role of human resources management in organisations.

Vision of LAPM:
To be the best ideas developer and opinnion leader in human resources management field in Latvia.

Strategic priorities of LAPM:

  • to improve an added value to member organisations

  • to improve the publicity and authority of LAPM in Latvia

  • to provide and promote cooperation and mutual support between members

  • to develop international cooperation with HRM associations and other organisations

  • to attract finances

Functions of LAPM

LAPM offers:

To members:

  • informative and thematic seminars about actual subjects in HR field;

  • discussions for HR managers with experience and for “young” HR managers;

  • experience exchange events in members’ organizations, where participants of this event are introduced with host organization’s experience in solving particular question in HR field and organization’s daily work.

To all interested persons:

  • HR management Congress: several years LAPM in cooperation with partners organizes annual Congress about actual themes of HR field

  • Certification of HR managers and HR specialists: Since year 2007 LAPM provides Certification of HR managers and HR specialists to all interested persons, who would like to verify their competence in HR management field. The goals of Certification of HR mangers and HR specialists are: promotion of HR manager’s and HR specialist’s knowledge, skills and acquirement improvement accordingly to international standards; elevation and consolidation of HR manager and HR specialist professions prestige in Latvia

  • Competition – HR Management Award: The goal of HR Management Award is to popularize HR management field and to compass good competitiveness facilitation in organizations in Latvia.

Members of LAPM
are legal and private persons, who avow mission and goals of LAPM and are interested in the management and development of the human capital. There are ca. 220 legal and 6 private members in LAPM.

LAPM is steered by the Management Board. The board consists of 7 members, most of them represent biggest organizations in Latvia. The head of the board is the president of LAPM – Eva Selga.
Daily work is carried out by LAPM coordinator.
